The County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control will be participating in the Bow-Wows & Meows Pet Fair. The 17th Annual Bow-Wows & Meows Pet Fair will be held this Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017 where hundreds of cats and dogs will be available for adoption. This year’s pet fair will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the William S. Hart Park. The address is 24151 Newhall Avenue, Santa Clarita, CA 91321.

Adoption fees will be discounted to $30 and a veterinary team will be present to answer any questions. Every County pet is spayed or neutered, immunized, micro-chipped, and ready to take home that day. We are hoping to break last year’s record number of 200 adoptions.

“This is a fun day, I encourage people to come and perhaps find a new family member” and “We are so thankful to the non-profit Bow-Wows & Meows, Inc. who have put together this event to promote pet adoptions” says Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control Director Marcia Mayeda. The family friendly event is free to the public and well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend but must be on a leash.

Other activities this year include high-flying canines catching Frisbees, The Famous Fun Dog Show, raffles, food trucks, pet supply vendors, two adopt-a-pet parades, and more.
