On January 3, 2017, at a Special Board Meeting of Castaic Lake Water Agency, the Board of Directors elected Robert J. DiPrimio as Board President and William Pecsi as Board Vice President.
President DiPrimio has served in various positions on the Castaic Lake Water Agency Board of Directors since 1987. Prior to his current employment as Senior Vice President of San Gabriel Valley Water Company, he served as President of Valencia Water Company for 17 years and has 35 years of experience in the water industry. President DiPrimio said, “This is a very exciting time in the Santa Clarita Valley. We are working to move toward more efficient, integrated and effective governance and management of water resources.”
In addition to electing a Board President, the Board elected William Pecsi as the Board Vice President. Vice President Pecsi recently retired as Manager of Conveyance and Distribution for Water System Operation at Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and has more than 30 years of experience in the water industry. Vice President Pecsi has served the Castaic Lake Water Agency Board of Directors in various positions since 1998.
Election Information for Castaic Lake Water Agency Board of Directors:
- Elections for the Castaic Lake Water Agency Board are conducted on the date of the General Election, the first Tuesday of November of each even-numbered year.
- The term of office for all elected directors is four years.
- Castaic Lake Water Agency is divided into three elective divisions. The governing board is made up of two directors from each division, three directors at large, and directors (one each) appointed to represent Newhall County Water District and Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 36.
- Selection of the CLWA Board President and Vice President positions is made every two years by vote of the Board of Directors.
