(By Tim Haddock) The Hart boys basketball team is off to a perfect 4-0 start in the Foothill League. But the Valencia boys might have scored the biggest win in the first four games of the Foothill League season.

Hart knocked off Valencia, 88-70, to maintain its undefeated league record. Lewis Stallworth scored 28 points and Myles Franklin added 18 for Hart.

The Indians beat Golden Valley easily, 84-61, in their third Foothill League game last week. Franklin led Hart with 13 points against the Grizzlies.

The Valencia boys dominated Canyon, 81-49, and ended the Cowboys’ 15-game winning streak. The win by the Vikings put them at 3-0 and set up a showdown for first place against Hart.

Valencia’s Dakota Abbott had a big game against Canyon. He scored 20 points and made four 3-pointers. The Vikings posted their seventh win in a row.

After the first four games of the Foothill League season, Hart is in first place at 4-0. Canyon and Valencia are tied for second place with 3-1 records.

West Ranch, with wins over Saugus and Golden Valley, is 2-2 in league. The Golden Valley and Saugus boys are tied for last place at 0-4.
