The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced eight new members to their Board of Directors to begin service in 2018.  It is the largest appointment of new directors at one-time to the Board in more than a decade. 

The following business leaders have been named to the Board:

  • Jeffrey Forest – College of the Canyons, Economic Development Division
  • Kevin Holmes, CPA – Martini Iosue & Akpovi
  • Pam Ingram – Re/Max
  • Jill Mellady – Mellady Direct Marketing
  • Liz Seelman – Southern California Edison
  • Dennis Sugasawara – OPES Financial Solutions
  • Karina Winkler – Best Western Valencia Inn
  • Randy Winter – Randal G. Winter Construction

“It’s a unique moment when we’re able to appoint such a large group of local business leaders to serve on the Chamber Board of Directors,” said John Musella, Chairman of the SCV Chamber of Commerce.  “With all the positive changes happening with the SCV Chamber, we’re excited to add well-respected leaders to the Board.  We made strategic appointments to ensure the Board properly represents small, medium and large businesses from across the spectrum.”

The 2018 Board will be led by Chairman-Elect, Troy Hooper.

“I’m incredibly excited to have such an amazing group of business professionals to work with next year,” said Troy Hooper, Chairman-Elect.  “Next year, we’ll be implementing the strategic plan we’ve laid out to provide higher-quality member services and more business advocacy,” said Hooper.

The new board members will begin their term on January 1, 2018.  Incoming Board Chairman, Troy Hooper, alongside the full board, will be ceremonially installed on Friday, January 26, 2018. The Chamber’s annual Awards and Installation Gala, which honors local businesses and business leaders, will be held at TPC Valencia.
