The West Ranch Town Council (WRTC) is making changes to its regular format and moving to a quarterly meeting schedule it was announced. The council, which has been operating for more than twenty-five years, continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of the West Ranch communities.

In announcing the new schedule Dave Bossert, current WRTC president stated, “As the community changes, so does the town council. We will be surveying the west side communities in the coming months on a variety of issues to get resident’s opinions. The results of that survey will drive our agendas for future meetings.”

“Moving to a quarterly format will be a better use of time and resources,” Bossert continued, “The new meeting schedule will allow for the WRTC to more efficiently book guest speakers and to do away with redundant reports that are given at other community groups.” The WRTC will now meet on the first Wednesday of December, March, June, and September at 6:30 PM. The location of the meetings will be at the Stevenson Ranch Public Library except for the December meetings which will be held at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) at Valencia.

The WRTC will be dark until the Wednesday December 6th meeting which will feature special guest speakers Los Angeles County 5th District Supervisor Kathryn Barger and L.A. County Sheriff Jim McDonnell. The meetings are open to the public.

The West Ranch Town Council represents the neighborhoods of Sunset Point, Southern Oaks, Stevenson Ranch, and Westridge. Geographically, the council covers the developed area from Calgrove north to the Santa Clara River and west of the I-5 Freeway.
