A Valencia man was arrested Friday following a four week investigation into several incidents of identity theft and forgery in the Santa Clarita Valley. Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station’s Burglary and Theft Team served a search warrant at an apartment in the 23900 block of Decoro Drive Friday. Detectives reportedly recovered 
The Los Angeles County Fire Department, City of Santa Clarita, and the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station joined together this morning to urge residents to learn the basics of pool safety in order prevent children from drowning.

Los Angeles County officials on Wednesday urged residents to have a safe Fourth of July by celebrating at public fireworks shows, in lieu of setting off fireworks at home. “These shows are organized. They are approved. There are safety measures in place,” County Fire Chief P. Michael Freeman said at a morning press conference at Fire Station 124 in Stevenson Ranch.
