The West Ranch Town Council will hold their regular monthly meeting tonight, Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Tournament Player Club in West Ranch located at 26550 Heritage View Lane in the Westridge neighborhood at 6:30 PM. With the news of Disney’s plans to build studios at Golden Oak Ranch virtually transforming Santa Clarita into the next Hollywood, Southern California FIRE & EMS (www.socalfireems.com) announced a strategic partnership with Symon’s Event Safety (www.symonseventsafety.com) that will greatly benefit the motion picture industry in the area. A Southern California FIRE & EMS spokesman stated that the partnership will make available services to the Santa Clarita motion picture industry that would otherwise not be available and is in high demand. The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station will be conducting a D.U.I. checkpoint beginning on Friday, December 18, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. and concluding at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, December 19, 2009.  The goal of the checkpoint is to educate the community on the hazards of drunk driving while enforcing the D.U.I. laws of the State of California.
