Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich issued the following statement on the Supreme Court ruling overturning the ban on same-sex marriage: “This is another decision where four members of the judiciary reject the will of the people who overwhelming voted in 2000 to ban same sex marriage.”

Sixty-one percent of California voters approved Proposition 22, which said that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid and recognized in California.
