Acting on information obtained by a patrol deputy, detectives from the station’s Burglary and Theft Team and Narcotics Division served a search warrant at an apartment in the 27900 block of Solamint Road, Canyon Country, Wednesday afternoon. 

At the location deputies reportedly located substantial quantities of cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and money.  Deputies also recovered three handguns, two of which were stolen, ammunition and more than 145 electronic items including DVDs, video cameras, IPODs, video game systems, cell phones, computers and other electronic vehicle accessories.  Some of the items had been reported stolen and detectives believe others may have been stolen or obtained through illegal drug transactions.

Deputies arrested two men at the apartment.  They were both booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.  Daniel Trujillo, MB/30, of Canyon Country faces potential felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Possession of a Firearm While Possessing a Controlled Substance, Possession of Concentrated Cannabis, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Possession of a Controlled Substance (ecstasy) for Sale, and Receiving Stolen Property.  He is being held in lieu of $80,718 bail pending future court proceedings. 

The second suspect, Cesario Castillo, MW/25, of Granada Hills faces a felony Probation Violation charge.  He is being held without bail pending future court proceedings.  The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
