Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich along with County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, California State Parks, California Department of Boating and Waterway; California State University, Northridge; and the Castaic Lake Community gather for the Grand Opening of new Boating Instruction Safety Center (BISC) at Castaic Lake on Monday, July 30^th at 10:00 AM. The dedication takes place at the Castaic Lake Recreation Area 32132 Castaic Lake Drive in Castaic.

The Boating Instruction Safety Center is the result of a collaborated effort among the County of Los Angeles, California State Parks, the Department of California Boating and Waterways and California State University, Northridge.

The Grand Opening ceremony will include rescue demonstration by the County of Los Angeles Junior Lifeguards, who will use the BISC as a location for their training classes.  The BISC will also be used by California State University, Northridge as a site for their Boating Safety Curriculum.
