(From the-signal.com) After months of discussion about a cellular tower in Stevenson Ranch, the Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission is set to vote Wednesday on a tower that would be farther away from homes than were other sites, but also about 10 feet taller than previously suggested. 

T-Mobile is asking for approval of a 45-foot-tall cellular tower on the west side of Stevenson Ranch Parkway between Huston Street and Chisom Lane, according to information from the Regional Planning Department.

The tower would be 18 inches in diameter, marble textured and earth tone in color to blend with the surrounding landscape.

While residents had complaints about a proposal to locate the tower on the same property because it would be within 15 feet of some homes, the new proposed site is 139 feet away from the nearest home and set back 29 feet from Stevenson Ranch Parkway, according to the Regional Planning staff.
