The Southland’s top culinary masters teamed up for an event of mouthwatering proportions right here in Awesometown! The Gourmet Food Truck festival, which was held Sunday, was a bona fide success for the thousands of foodie and car buffs who were in attendance.

With the help of Valencia Auto Center, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Foundation, the City of Santa Clarita, The Magazine of Santa Clarita, Time Warner Cable, KHTS, Newhall Land, and The West Ranch Beacon, food aficionados and car enthusiasts alike got a taste of the latest mobile fare while they satisfy their hunger for some classic showcase cars all on Sunday afternoon under clear but chilly skies.

It was also a major success for the Auto dealers along Creekside Drive and for the economy of the Santa Clarita Valley. According to several dealers they sold more cars then they expected and were thrilled with the results at mid-day on Sunday.

The exciting event, which is a second for Valencia, showcased close to 50 trucks including Ahn-Joo, Barbies Q, Border Grill Truck, Bool BBQ, Cali Cuisine, Crepes Bonaparte, Del’s Lemonade, Fishlips Sushi, Fresh Fries, Frysmith, George’s Greek Café, Germany’s Famous Bratwurst, Global Soul, Gourmet Genie, Happy Cup Ramen Truck, Hungry Nomad, India Jones Chow Truck, Kabob Express, Kabob N’ Roll, Komodo, Krazy BBQ, Lake Street Creamery, Lardon, Lee’s Philly, Lomo Arigato, Ludo Truck, Maui Wowi Hawaiian, Munchie Machine, No Jodas Cuban Kitchen, No Tomatoes!, Nom Nom Truck, Papa’s Tapas Truck, Pita Pusher, Ragin’ Cajun, Rokyo Gourmet Ramen, Rolling Sushi Van, Rosa’s Bella Cucina, Streets of Thailand, Shrimp Pimp, Tapa Boy, The Sweets Truck, Tornado Potato, Tropical Shave Ice, Valentino’s Pizza, Vizzi Truck, White Rabbit Truck and The Yummy One.

There was an amazing selection of muscle, antique historical, racing and exotic vehicles interspersed between booths and food trucks all along Creekside Drive. The California Highway Patrol had a terrific display of classic patrol cars and equipment on display dating back to the early 50’s.

The Masters College Swing Band was setup across from the Valencia Acura performing classics from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and many others. There was plenty of food and entertainment for all who attended.
