The Dr. Richard Rioux Memorial Park in Stevenson Ranch has experience a rash of vandalism in recent weeks. According to a L.A. County Parks & Recreation official, the vandalism appears to be the work of a group of teens partying in the park after hours. Evidence of drug paraphernalia has been found on site and in the vicinity of damage to park property.

Park officials have decided to lock the main gate and all pedestrian gates from sun down until sun up in an effort to put a stop to the costly vandalism. Additionally, sheriff patrols will be stepped up in hope that the vandals may be caught in the act. Residents are asked to report any suspicious behavior inside the park.
