(From the Signal) A 43-year-old man was being held Monday on $305,000 bail after he allegedly assaulted and held his girlfriend against her will in a Stevenson Ranch hotel last week, authorities said.

An employee at a hotel on the 24900 block of Pico Canyon Road called authorities at about 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday after the employee heard a woman screaming and saw a man drag her into a hotel room.

The 36-year-old victim told deputies that her boyfriend hit her in the head and chest during an argument in their hotel room, Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said in an e-mail.
