The West Ranch Beacon will be giving timely updates as they become available on the escape from the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic. In the meantime the Sheriff’s Station advises the following precautions:

  • Remain Calm.
  • Lock/Secure ALL Doors and Windows.  (Do not Forget the Garage)
  • Activate your Home Security System.
  • Turn on ALL Outside Lights.
  • Call and Advise Neighbors.
  • Monitor your Children and their Activities.
  • Be Suspicious of Strangers and Strange Vehicles.  (Exercise Caution)

  • DO NOT Pick up Hitchhikers.
