SCV Sheriffs Prepare for 26th Annual All Schools Dance
Posted by admin under Arts/ Entertainment , Local , Santa Clarita Valley Comments Off
Did you know that for the past 25 years the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station has partnered with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Foundation and Six Flags Magic Mountain to host and chaperon the All Schools Dance? The annual dance is open to students from every Santa Clarita school from 8th grade through 12th grade. The students must have student identification to enter the event.
Held at the dance venue inside the Six Flags Magic Mountain park, the event offers music, a light show, raffle prizes, and unlimited rides on the Batman roller coaster. Food is available for purchase. The event is only open to Santa Clarita Students and is closely monitored and supervised by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Deputies and volunteers while students are inside the venue.
Event participants can enter through the back gate of the park and tickets are available at the gate for $5.00 each. This year’s event will be held Friday, March 5, 2010, from from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Each year the event is a big hit for our local youth. It provides an opportunity for students from several different local schools to interact. The event promotes unity, compassion, and understanding for other schools throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. We hope to see you there for a great fun-filled, and safe, night.
