A light earthquake shook a sparsely populated desert area near the border between San Diego and Imperial counties reports the Associated Press. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The U.S. Geological Survey said the magnitude-3.9 temblor hit around 3 p.m. Saturday. It was centered 15 miles northeast of the unincorporated community of Ocotillo.
