Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a burned car on a remote stretch of road near Angeles National Forest. Sheriff’s Deputy Derrick Thompson says the unidentified man was found early Saturday morning on a back road east of the Interstate 5 about four miles north of Castaic in rural northern Los Angeles County.

Thompson says investigators are working to determine how the man died and if his death was a homicide. The man’s body was badly burned reports the Associated Press.
