County health officials say two more birds in Ventura County have tested positive for West Nile virus. The birds were found in the Camarillo area in the last week of August and first week of September. Officials say test results confirmed this week that the birds had West Nile reports the Ventura County Star. Including these latest findings, seven birds in the county that have tested positive for the virus this year. West Nile is transmitted to humans through infected mosquitoes, which get the virus by feeding on infected wild birds.
