4 Days to go: Countdown to the “Best Fireworks Show in the Santa Clarita Valleyâ€
Posted by admin under Holidays , Local , Stevenson Ranch Comments OffThe Stevenson Ranch Fireworks Spectacular is a show that cost quite a bit of money to stage each year. In recent years there has been a perception that this event is paid for by the Homeowners Association (HOA) and therefore it is an entitlement of Stevenson Ranch residents; a birthright if you will. This is not true.
Â
The Stevenson Ranch Community Association (HOA) pays for a portion of the show, about 40%. The rest of the funds, about 60%, come from very generous donation by local companies and individuals.
Â
The major donor this year again is Newhall Land which has been a major sponsor of the show from its inception. Despite the softness in the housing market Newhall Land has been a great corporate citizen in supporting the Stevenson Ranch Fireworks show for ten solid years through thick and thin.
Â
We also have a new sponsor this year; Burrtec Industries will become the trash hauler for the West Ranch communities beginning October 1st. We appreciate Burrtec Industries willingness to jump right in supporting this great community event even before they actually start working in the community.
Â
Also back again this year is Randall Winter of RG Winter Construction, Advantage Disposal, Tim Reed Realty Executive, and The Royal Oaks Community Church. All of these businesses and organizations have either contributed financially or in trade with goods or services.
Â
It is the collective participation of the community and local business that have made this show the success it is today. This is what makes a event like this a true “community event.â€
Â
Tomorrow I’ll be talking some more about safety and the precaution that go into putting this show together each year.
