Deputies arrested a North Hollywood woman early Monday morning on drug and mail theft related charges after stopping her near Sierra Highway and Dolan Way. The deputies reportedly found a manufactured United States Postal Service mailbox key and locking mechanism, burglary and pry tools, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and dozens of pieces of mail, believed to be stolen from residents in North Hollywood area, in the suspect’s car.  Deputies did not find any mail from the Santa Clarita Valley area in the suspect’s possession and may have caught her before she had an opportunity to perpetrate similar crimes in the area.

The suspect, Sharon Mozo, FA/29, was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft of United States Mail.  She also faces potential misdemeanor charges of Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia, Possession of a United States Postal lock and Possession of Burglary Tools.  She is being held in lieu of more than $32,000 bail.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information at this time.
